Soyfucker Comic Zine

Hey everybody! Submissions have started rolling in for Issue 3 and they are looking great! The big question remains, what do you want to contribute? 

This issue’s deadline is October 31, so if you want to get spooky with it, just keep in mind the issue won’t actually be in print till mid- or late November. Of course, I am a fan of the gory, the macabre, and the ghoulish just about any time of year. And don’t even get me started on Sassquatch, you don’t want to know the kind of shit that guy’s into. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, go crazy and do what you want!

If you’re interested in submitting, please take a moment and quickly read through the submission guidelines! Seriously, it’ll take you like a minute and it will make us love you.

I was recently interviewed about my experiences creating Soyfucker for VegNews Magazine’s website, and now you can read the featurette all about how to make your own vegan zine! It was huge fun to talk about myself so much (as you can imagine) and an enormous honor to have Soyfucker mentioned alongside the work of such visionaries as Laura Beck, Kittee Berns, and many more awesome vegan ladies who bring the noise! Much gratitude and love goes out to yet another awesome vegan lady, Gabrielle Pope, who is the very talented writer behind this featurette.

Issue #2 deadline for submissions is at midnight tonight! That’s Pacific Standard Time for all you slackers in the Mountainous and Easterly regions. If you really want to cut it down to the wire you can email it in before I wake up tomorrow and it will totally count. When do I wake up? You’ll never know. I’m like a ninja in that way. The deadline for issue two is looming on the horizon! I’ve had a lot of really awesome vegan artists tell me they’re interested in pulling something together for issue two, including issue one contributor Kelly McClellan, who is going to collaborate with her awesome sister Megan McClellan, just like they used to do on their super-rad The Sisters Vegan blog!
